How to get to Gandia by Boat / Ferry
Gandia Port
A Ferry connection to the Ibiza and the Balearic Islands from Gandia may be availablbe from as early as 2013.
Gandia Mayor Arturo Torró announced that he was seriously considering the Gandia to Ibiza ferry in a bid to boost tourism. The new service would involve return journeys to Ibiza from the Grau de Gandia over the weekends in July and August – a scaled-down version of the crossings run from Dénia port, which travel on a daily basis throughout the year.
Although technical investigations and market research will need to be carried out, Torró is already in talks with the head of sales at the ferry company Acciona Transmediterránea.
He said it was unlikely to happen by this summer, but may be up and running by 2013.
“This means that with the high-speed AVE train to Madrid, Spain’s capital will be well-connected to the Balearic Islands via Gandia,” Torró commented.
