Tavernes de la Valldigna is a municipality in the Valencian Community, Spain, located in the district of Safor, 54 km far away from Valencia. It is the biggest town in La Valldigna, a horseshoe shape valley bordered by mountains (Iberic and Betic mountains) on the West and the Mediterranean Sea to the East.

The municipalities that make up today Valldigna are: Barx, Benifairó, Simat and Tavernes.

The municipality of Tavernes de la Valldigna is virtually surrounded by mountains, where the easternmost part, large, is washed by the Mediterranean Sea.

The beach area of the town,a few kilometers away, is a very Spanish resort and, like many of the beach areas along this coastline, it is packed in Summer and almost deserted in Winter. Tavernes de la Valldigna boasts two of the best sanded beaches on the Mediterranean shoreline (Tavernes beach and Goleta beach) with 6km of coastline.
