Cabalgata de Reyes Magos / Three Kings Parade Gandía 2023

The Three Kings Parade is held in many Spanish towns and cities on the evening of January 5th every year to celebrate the arrival of the wise men “reyes magos”, Melchior (Arabia), Caspar (the Orient) and Balthazar (Africa), into Bethlehem for the birth of Christ.

During the parade or “Cabalgata”, each King rides a separate float sitting on a high throne, surrounded by his courtiers who throw sweets into the crowd.

La Cabalgata de Reyes Magos se celebra en muchos pueblos y ciudades españolas la tarde del 5 de enero de cada año para celebrar la llegada de los reyes magos, Melchor (Arabia), Gaspar (Oriente) y Baltasar (África), a Belén por el nacimiento de Cristo.

Durante el desfile o “Cabalgata”, cada Rey monta una carroza separada sentado en un trono alto, rodeado de sus cortesanos que arrojan dulces a la multitud.
