Calpe & Benissa Lions Club
The Calpe and Benissa Lions Club is part of an international Lions network of 1.3 million men and women in 202 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.The Calpe and Benissa Lions Club (Club de Leones de Calpe y Benissa) was founded in 2007. From that time, the Club has developed fundraising projects and service activities in the Calpe and Benissa areas, while ensuring friendships are developed through various social events.

Even prior to the official Charter, the Calpe and Benissa Lions approached and were granted $10,000 to provide potable water and blankets from the LCIF to cope with those affected by the Gota Fria along the Costa Blanca. The many fundraising events include the UK Youth Brass Band and many other concerts, Quizzes, a Flamenco Night, Sponsored Swims, Christmas Fayre, Fashion Shows, Tea Parties at the Iris Gardens at Marnes, Punch and Judy Puppet Show and Jazz on the Beach.

Calpe & District 41 Club
Information about the Calpe & District 41 Club, who meet once a month at Number 7 restaurant in Calpe. Our Members are mainly British, all of whom are past Round Tablers. We extend a warm welcome to any Tabler or 41’er visiting the area to attend our Monthly Meetings and Social Events. We hold regular monthly Meetings on the second Thursday of the month, except July and August, at 12:45 for 13:00, with our wives/partners meeting at the same time at a nearby restaurant. Social Events are normally held two weeks after the monthly Meeting.

Calpe HELP
Calpe HELP is a voluntary organisation that provides help and care in medical emergencies.
Volunteer Interpreters are available at the Hospital between 11.00am -2.00pm.
Calpe HELP is a voluntary organisation, part of HELP of Denia and Marina Alta, which provides help and care in medical emergencies.
They also provide medical equipment, for short term loan, to assist people in their homes after suffering from an accident or recovering from surgery.
It also provides medical equipment for the Marina Alta Hospital in Denia.
The volunteers assist with taking people for hospital appointments and also provide practical assistance and advice with many other problems.
The HELP organisation has a Help Desk which is situated in the Main Entrance at Denia Hospital, to the left of the main information desk.
A HELP volunteer will assist with enquires in English from 11.00am – 2.00pm Monday-Friday (telephone96 642 9346).
Volunteer interpreters can be booked in advance using the same number, but please remember due to work load and waiting time for Consultants your appointment cannot be guaranteed.

Q: What is the purpose of the U3A?
A: To encourage and enable people no longer in full time employment to share their knowledge, skills, interests and experiences.
Q: Is it costly to join?
A: Members pay an annual subscription fee – this year 6 €, and a small contribution per session to the group leader if applicable, in order to cover the cost of refreshments, photocopying etc.

Calpe based Footlights Theatre Group is the largest Musical Theatre Group on the Costa Blanca, specializing in producing lavish stage musicals, performed in English.
