Villalonga Tourist Information

Villalonga is a municipality of Valencia, Spain. It belongs to the province of Valencia, in the region of La Oliva. Located in the southeast of the province of Valencia, on the northern slopes of the Sierra de La Oliva, which forms the border with the province of Alicante. The relief forms a broad valley through which flows the River Center Serpis looking northeast towards the sea. The climate is Mediterranean and mountain climate. In summer maximum temperatures are usually between 35 and 40 degrees Celsius, whereas in winter, the minimum range between -5 and 5 degrees Celsius. From Valencia accessing this village, road, arriving first at Gandía through the N-332 and on the outskirts of town (toward the town of Oliva) you take the CV-680 to reach through Villalonga “Almoines” “Beniarjó” “Beniflá” and “Potríes”. Villalonga’s municipal borders the following locations: Ador, Castellonet, La Font d’en Carros, Llocnou of St. Jerome, Oliva, and Terrateig Potríes the province of Valencia; Adsubia, Vall de Gallinera Lorcha and the province of Alicante .

San Antonio Abad and Santa Barbara. It is celebrated on January 17 with the traditional bonfire and the blessing of the animals.
Major Festivals. Celebrate the festivities of the Virgen de la Fuente (Mare de Deu de la Font) the third Sunday in October, the dawn and the Christ of Health on Friday and Saturday prior.
Festivals in August. Hosts the meeting of the Virgin, in addition to the paella contest and the popular “Fiesta water and foam” (“Corda d’Aigua i d’foam”).

The August 17 is the feast of the patron saint, the Virgin first moved from the chapel to the Church where Saints Reyes celebrates Mass. A night out of the church in procession through the streets of the town going to the chapel.
