On September 27, 2025, Bellreguard in Valencia celebrated its annual Moors and Christians festival, filling the town with tradition, music, and spectacle. While both armies took part in the grand Entrada, this year the Moorish side drew particular attention, led by the filà Abdulaf as the 2025 Moorish captaincy.

As captaincy holders, Abdulaf opened the Moorish Entrada with an impressive boato that set the tone for the night. Their costumes, inspired by the elegance of Al-Andalus, blended silks, turbans, banners, and intricate staging to create a theatrical display of strength and refinement. The crowd erupted as they marched at the head of their troops, accompanied by stirring Moorish marches that gave the parade a rhythmic and exotic energy.

The Moorish army of Bellreguard is made up of many filaes, and together they offered a vibrant variety of styles. Groups like the Tuaregs evoked desert warriors, the Almoràvits recalled powerful dynasties from North Africa, and the Abassies highlighted the sophistication of medieval caliphates. Piratas and Moros Marins brought maritime flair, while Moros Verds and Moros Negres stood out with rich colors and bold choreography. Each group contributed to a dazzling collective spectacle that balanced diversity with unity.

The embajadas gave the Moors a chance to show their pride in theatrical form. As tradition dictates, they conquered the castle first, with speeches full of defiance and confidence. Though the Christians ultimately reclaimed victory, the Moorish triumph in the opening embajada was one of the festival’s most dramatic moments.

The Entrada Mora itself was a feast of color and sound. Filaes marched in ornate tunics, embroidered robes, feathered headpieces, and carried curved scimitars and shields that shimmered in the torchlight. Boatos included camels, banners, and elaborate scenes inspired by history and legend, while bands filled the night air with passionate Moorish marches that contrasted with the solemn music of the Christian side.

Beyond the parade, the Moors were a lively presence all week, hosting visitors in their kábilas, filling the streets with informal parades, and carrying the dramatic energy of the embajadas. Under the leadership of Abdulaf, the Moorish army made 2025 a year to remember, leaving behind images of elegance, strength, and spectacle that will remain in the memory of Bellreguard for years to come.

El 27 de septiembre de 2025, Bellreguard (Valencia) celebró sus tradicionales Fiestas de Moros y Cristianos, llenando las calles de música, color y tradición. Aunque ambos bandos participaron en la gran Entrada, este año la atención se centró en el ejército moro, encabezado por la filà Abdulaf como capitanía mora de 2025.

Como portadores de la capitanía, los Abdulaf abrieron la Entrada Mora con un boato espectacular que marcó el tono de la noche. Sus trajes, inspirados en la elegancia de Al-Ándalus, mezclaron sedas, turbantes, estandartes y una cuidada puesta en escena que transmitió fuerza y refinamiento. El público los recibió con entusiasmo mientras desfilaban al frente de sus tropas, acompañados de marchas moras que llenaron el ambiente de ritmo y exotismo.

El ejército moro de Bellreguard se compone de numerosas filaes que aportan gran diversidad de estilos. Los Tuaregs evocaron a los guerreros del desierto, los Almoràvits recordaron a las poderosas dinastías del norte de África y los Abassies mostraron la sofisticación de los califatos medievales. Piratas y Moros Marins dieron un aire marítimo, mientras que Moros Verds y Moros Negres destacaron con colores intensos y coreografías llamativas. Cada grupo contribuyó a un espectáculo conjunto tan variado como unitario.

Las embajadas ofrecieron a los moros la ocasión de exhibir su orgullo en clave teatral. Como dicta la tradición, conquistaron primero el castillo con parlamentos llenos de desafío y confianza. Aunque finalmente los cristianos recuperaron la victoria, el triunfo inicial de los moros fue uno de los momentos más intensos de la fiesta.

La Entrada Mora en sí misma fue un auténtico festín de color y sonido. Las filaes desfilaron con túnicas bordadas, ropajes brillantes, penachos de plumas y armamento curvado que relucía bajo la luz. Los boatos incluyeron camellos, estandartes y escenas inspiradas en la historia y la leyenda, mientras las bandas interpretaban marchas moras apasionadas que contrastaban con la solemnidad de la música cristiana.

Más allá del desfile, los moros fueron protagonistas durante toda la semana festera, animando las calles con entradas informales, acogiendo a vecinos y visitantes en sus kábilas y llevando la intensidad de las embajadas a cada rincón. Bajo el liderazgo de Abdulaf, el bando moro convirtió 2025 en un año inolvidable, dejando en Bellreguard la imagen de un ejército elegante, fuerte y espectacular que permanecerá en la memoria colectiva.
