El Jardín del Papagayo, Peñíscola
El Jardín del Papagayo is an Avery of exotic birds located between the towns of Peñíscola y Benicarló. There are many different enclosures through which visitors can walk amongst toucans, parrots and even Australian kangaroos.
The Papagayo houses exotic winged animals located between the towns of Peñiscola and Benicarlo . Tourists can walk through a throng of colorful toucans and parrots, meet some Australian kangaroos, and even pet or feed some cockatoos. The parrots are also featured in daily shows held at the gardens.
Terra Mitica Theme Park, Benidorm

Benicassim Music Festival
Benicassim Music Festival, or Festival Internacional de Benicàssim (FIB) as it is known in Spainish, is a 4 day music festival. The first ‘FIB’ took place in 1995. FIB takes place in Benicassim, which is located on the east coast of Spain between Valencia and Barcelona. More information here
Cueva de Calaveres Benidoleig. Benidoleig Caves
This prehistoric cave is situated 1.5 kilometres outside the town of Benidoleig on the road to Pedreguer. The magnificent cave is covered in stalactites and stalagmites and is 400 metres long and at some point reaches a height of 50 metres. More information here
Desafio Medieval Benidorm (Castillo Alfaz)

For a very medieval night out it is worth visiting the Desafio Medieval at Castle of the Count of Alfaz. The evenings entertainment consists of jousting and swordplay acted out by experienced stuntmen/actors dressed as knights. More information here

El Vergel Safari Park, near Denia
Just beyond the town of Ondara on the Northern shoulder of the Costa Blanca, lays the infamous Vergel Safari Park. Less than one hours drive from central Benidorm, the Vergel Safari Park lies close to Ondara. With all of the typical animal favourites, attractions at the safari park include lions, tigers and wolves roaming free in wide open natural terrain, together with a small zoo area, miniature train rides, dolphin and seal shows, and a playground for small children. Rio Safari Elche
A great day out can be had at the Rio Safari Elche, which features many different types of animals, including lions, tigers, primates, many crocodiles, exotic birds and dolphins. Aitana Safari Park
Located high in the Aitana mountain range, near the village of Sella, and approximately 33km inland from Benidorm lays the acclaimed Aitana Safari Park. Following a set trail there are many animals to see, including lions, tigers, elephants, buffalo, zebra, and giraffe. More information here
Les Fonts de Algar
Les Fonts de Algar are set in an area of natural beauty near the town of Callosa den Sarria. An excellent day out for the family the Algar is set out like a natural water park. This is made up of the waterfalls themselves, and a series of swimming pools in which to enjoy the crystal waters (which are of course filled by natural springs). For those keen on walking the river is followed closely by a series of pathways, and constantly flanked by vegetation characteristic of the area (reeds, bamboo etc). More information here
