Driving from Gandía to Alicante Airport Spain
Travelling by road along Spain’s Mediterranean coastline is one of the best ways to experience the scenery and atmosphere of the Costa Blanca. This relaxing POV drive begins near Gandía and follows major coastal routes south toward Aeroport Alacant-Elx Miguel Hernández, passing through some of the most well-known areas of eastern Spain.
The journey starts at L’Alqueria de la Comtessa, just south of Gandía, before joining the N-332 coastal road. This route is widely used by both locals and tourists travelling along the Mediterranean coast and offers access to many of the Costa Blanca’s most popular seaside towns and holiday destinations.
Filmed on a cloudy day with occasional light rain, the drive captures a more natural and realistic side of travelling through Spain. Rather than bright summer sunshine, the changing weather creates a calmer atmosphere that works especially well for relaxing driving videos and ambient viewing.

As the route continues south, the scenery gradually changes from the flatter landscapes around Gandía and Oliva to the more mountainous coastline of the northern Costa Blanca. The drive passes near several famous destinations including Dénia, Calpe, Altea, Benidorm and Villajoyosa.
These towns are among the Costa Blanca’s best known tourist destinations, attracting visitors from across Spain and Europe thanks to their beaches, marinas, holiday resorts, and Mediterranean climate. Although much of the route uses motorways, glimpses of the coastline, mountains, urban areas, and surrounding countryside provide constant changes in scenery throughout the journey.
The AP-7 motorway forms a major part of the route and is one of Spain’s most important coastal highways, stretching along much of the Mediterranean coast. For drivers travelling between Valencia, Alicante, and Andalucía, the AP-7 is one of the main north-south transport routes in eastern Spain.
Further south, the drive joins the A-70 ring road approaching Alicante. Traffic gradually increases as the route nears the airport area, with signs directing vehicles toward terminals, industrial areas, and the city itself.
One interesting detail highlighted during the journey is the airport’s free 10-minute drop-off period at the time of filming — something increasingly uncommon at many European airports. Compared to rising drop-off charges elsewhere, it remains a useful feature for travellers arriving by car.
POV driving videos such as this have become increasingly popular online because they allow viewers to experience real journeys and road conditions in an immersive way. Whether used for relaxation, route planning, travel inspiration, or simply enjoying the scenery, they offer a realistic look at driving through different parts of Spain.
This drive from Gandía to Alicante Airport captures a genuine road trip experience along one of Spain’s most famous stretches of coastline, combining motorways, coastal scenery, changing weather, and the everyday atmosphere of travelling through the Costa Blanca.
