Denia Carrosses 2026: Spectacular Summer Float Parade
The streets of Denia (Dénia), Spain were transformed into a colourful celebration of creativity and tradition as the city’s famous Desfile de Carrozas (Carrosses) returned on Saturday evening. The annual parade is one of the highlights of the Fiestas de la Santíssima Sang, attracting thousands of spectators to the heart of the Costa Blanca for an unforgettable summer spectacle.
Held along the iconic Marqués de Campo, the parade brought together 11 Fallas commissions, each presenting an elaborate float designed around a unique theme. Months of planning, construction and artistic work went into every creation, with participants competing for the prestigious Carrosses awards.
This year’s parade once again demonstrated why Denia’s Carrosses is regarded as one of the finest summer festivals in the Valencian Community. From imaginative fantasy worlds and colourful costumes to humorous performances and lively music, every float offered something different, creating an incredible atmosphere from start to finish.
Among the evening’s biggest winners was Falla Campaments, whose impressive float earned first prize from the judges. Their spectacular design combined creativity, craftsmanship and entertainment, impressing both the judging panel and the thousands of spectators lining the route. Other Fallas commissions also showcased remarkable artistic talent, making the competition one of the closest and most entertaining in recent years.

The Falleres Majors of Denia also played a central role in the celebrations, greeting spectators as they travelled through the city in beautifully decorated carriages. Dressed in traditional Valencian costume, they represented the city’s rich cultural heritage and added elegance to an event that combines modern creativity with long-standing traditions.
One of the most remarkable aspects of Carrosses is the enormous amount of volunteer effort involved. Throughout the year, members of each Fallas commission dedicate countless hours to designing, building and decorating their floats, ensuring every edition of the parade offers something completely new. The result is a moving exhibition of local artistry that continues to grow in popularity year after year.
For visitors, the parade provides a fantastic opportunity to experience authentic Valencian culture beyond the region’s famous beaches. Denia is already well known for its historic castle, beautiful marina, excellent restaurants and UNESCO recognition as a Creative City of Gastronomy, but events such as Carrosses reveal another side of the city—one built on community spirit, creativity and celebration.
As darkness fell, the illuminated floats, vibrant costumes and lively music created a magical atmosphere that captivated visitors of all ages. Families, photographers and tourists packed the streets to witness one of the Costa Blanca’s most anticipated summer events, with many already looking forward to next year’s parade.
If you’re planning a summer holiday on the Costa Blanca, timing your visit to coincide with Denia’s Carrosses parade is highly recommended.
