Speed Cameras in Spain

In recent years speed cameras have started to appear on Spanish roads.

They are usually nondescript looking grey/cream coloured boxes, a metre or so high at the side of the road.

And sometimes a Speed Camera can be hidden by “overgrowing” grass on the verges.

However sometime, many of the cameras are damaged by people smashing the glass on the lens, making it a bit more difficult for the cameras to operate or take a decent photo of uor car and registration

If you are caught by one expect a recorded delivery letter in the post, from the DGT, which will include a nice photo of your car from the camera and details about the violation and speed.
