Gandia Pride 2026 Parade Along the Beachfront
Gandia Pride 2026 returned to Playa de Gandia from 21 to 24 May, bringing four days of celebrations, live entertainment and LGBTQ+ events to one of Spain’s most popular Mediterranean beach resorts.
The highlight of the weekend was Saturday evening’s Pride March and parade, which travelled along Passeig Marítim Neptú and Calle Armada Española, with decorated floats, music, rainbow flags and spectators lining the beachfront promenade. While Gandia Pride is smaller than the famous events held in Madrid or Barcelona, its seaside setting gives it a unique atmosphere, combining Pride celebrations with the relaxed feel of a Mediterranean beach resort.
My latest video captures the parade as it slowly made its way along Playa de Gandia’s palm-lined promenade. Several colourful floats took part, with participants dancing and waving to the crowds while music echoed across the beachfront. Visitors, tourists and local residents gathered along the paseo to watch the procession pass by, creating a lively evening atmosphere beside the sea.

The parade formed part of a much larger programme organised throughout the four-day event. Activities were centred around both Playa de Gandia and the Moll dels Borja, with live DJs, drag performances, community activities and the Mr Gay Comunitat Valenciana 2026 gala taking place over the weekend.
Among the artists performing during Gandia Pride 2026 were Spanish pop favourites Azúcar Moreno, Natalia and Rebeca, helping to attract visitors from across the Valencian Community and beyond. The event has continued to grow in recent years, becoming one of the region’s best-known Pride celebrations.
One of the notable changes for 2026 was the expansion of the official Pride March route. Organisers increased the distance to around 2.5 kilometres, allowing the parade to travel further along the beachfront and giving more visitors the opportunity to enjoy the event from the promenade.
This year’s celebrations also carried an important message beyond the music and festivities. Earlier in the week, local LGBTQ+ organisations reported that Pride flags displayed on Gandia beach had been vandalised. The incident was publicly condemned by organisers, local associations and Gandia City Council, reinforcing that Pride is not only a celebration but also an event promoting visibility, equality and inclusion.
Although the parade itself was relatively modest in size, the setting made it particularly enjoyable. With the Mediterranean Sea on one side, beach bars and restaurants full of visitors, and palm trees lining the promenade, the combination of warm spring weather and colourful floats created a distinctly Mediterranean atmosphere that is very different from city-based Pride events.
If you’re planning a visit to the Costa de Valencia during late spring, Gandia Pride is becoming one of the area’s annual highlights. Whether you’re visiting specifically for the celebrations or simply enjoying a holiday on Playa de Gandia, the event offers a chance to experience the resort at one of its liveliest times of the year.
You can watch the full parade in my latest video, featuring the floats, performers and atmosphere from Gandia Pride 2026 as the celebrations unfolded along the beautiful beachfront of Playa de Gandia.
