Benidorm is one of Spain's most popular tourist resorts. It lies on the Eastern (Mediterranean) Coast of Spain between Valencia and Alicante, in the province of Valencia, in a region known as the Costa Blanca.

Benidorm is only a two hour flight from most major European Capitals (London, Berlin, Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, Zurich). The nearest Airport is Alicante (El Altet) International Airport, linked by a motorway 60 km away. There are regular flights all year round.

Benidorm offers an incredible selection of entertainment and excitement for people of all ages. Four of the biggest Theme Parks in Europe, a Casino, a top-flight international variety show, many cabaret bars and discos, hotels with excellent live acts and some great water sports opportunities. Peaceful parks or exhilarating walks along the promenade and afternoon tea dancing. You really can find something for everyone.

The two major beaches, the Poniente and the Levante are beautiful, long stretches of soft, golden sand, and due to their Southerly orientation are kept naturally clean, consistently receiving the prestigious European Blue Flag awards for quality of services and water.

The weather is remarkably mild, with an average sea temperature in the Summer of 24ºC and air temperature of 26ºC. The Winter is cooler but still renowned for its mild and sunny climate. The Summer months are generally popular with younger tourists, Spring and Autumn with everyone and, whilst the Winter is more popular with older tourists, an increasing numbers of others are seeking short breaks here.

Benidorm's beaches are justifiably famous and the resort's continuing success owes much to those fabulous golden crescents. Stretching for a luxuriant six kilometres from Levante Beach in the east to Poniente Beach in the west, consistently high quality blue flag bathing, lifeguard patrols, a wealth of water sports and an impressive approach to cleanliness mean these beaches are among the best in Europe.

Poniente Beach
If you don't want quite such a hectic time having fun in the sun this will be your better option as PONIENTE tends to be slightly less crowded. There's still plenty of facilities close at hand and the inevitable (yet necessary) army of sunbeds, but in general there's a more relaxed and laid back feel here - and a bit more space. Families, young un's and the not-so-young- but-young-at-heart are very well catered for and have all they need to enjoy great swimming (there're no rocks) and sunbathing. Again, the sand is spotlessly clean each morning.

Levante Berach
This is the sandy holiday hub for those who're out for fun and frolics, and is known as the sunrise beach. In high season it can get pretty crowded, although there are quite literally thousands of sun beds (over 5000 in case you're curious). It's backed by a broad promenade sporting bars and cafes and in short...it's lively!

The beach is sandy and slopes gently into the water which makes for relatively safe bathing for the young or less confident water baby. Further out to sea are swinging bridges, diving boards, rafts, slides, a wet playground for the energetic, and lifeguards are on hand throughout the summer season. Most impressively, the sand is pristine each morning thanks to a thorough daily clean up.

Dogs are not allowed on the beaches.

Benidorm can boast some truly spectacular Theme Parks and Water Parks offering an amazing variety of entertainment - making it one of the most exciting family holiday destinations in Europe!
