Col de Rates is a popular mountain pass in the Valencian Community that cycling enthusiasts love dearly for its challenging ascent and beautiful views. It lies between Parcent and Benissa and is a 6.5-kilometer hill climb

made up of steep gradients and biting hairpin bends, which thrill both amateur and professional cyclists. The road gives way to wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and Mediterranean sea, making the ride even more thrilling.
